If This, Then That
If love is a river that cannot be dammed, a train that cannot be stopped, a picnic to be held on the warmest May day, a parasol powerful enough to blot out the sun, a man who rises just to fell a white pine, a woman who rises to wish the man well with his felling, a bowler cap tipped upward in a calloused hand, a basket whose contents are a mystery. If love is any of these things, then Elizabeth Cornwell and Adin Meyer are in love. And they will remain so, wonderfully so, right up until the train that cannot be stopped. Words by BJ Hollars. Audio narration by Jan Larson. Audio recording by Scott Morfitt. |
